Here's the skinny: The guitar has a refret, there is a headstock repair that the artist wanted repaired with the original inlay and serial # so the tuners are a little offline but are perfectly aligned with the bridge,are original, and it doesn't effect playing. The bridge pick up has been replaced and all the work seems to have been done in the mid to late sixties as the guitar now has a seamless finish and looks almost pristine. The guitar is early sixty one, as the varitone circuit was hand soldered. The bridge replacement pickup has fooled a lot of players and is a perfect match for the original neck PAF. So, all in all you've got a 1961 ES345 with a refret and a pickup replacement and neck repair. Obviously a guitar that compelled it's loyal owner to play, love, repair and care for it until he couldn't any longer. An absolutely gorgeous sounding guitar with all the lush and searing PAf tone you can Imagine!!”
