Original blue cloth with intricate gilt titles and decoration to front and spine. Beautifully illustrated with 12 colour plates and additional in-text black and white illustrations. Some wear and bumping to extremities, rubbing to boards with some loss to gilt decoration(see pictures). Some rubbing to rear cover. Binding sound and square. All plates are present and in great condition. Small book plate to the inside front cover. End papers a little browned. Internally clean and free of inscriptions. A really very nice copy. Scarce.”
