Seller notes: “A very nice copy of the first printing of the first edition, in its original dustwrapper, designed ... “A very nice copy of the first printing of the first edition, in its original dustwrapper, designed by G W Goss. The book is typical of the attractive books published by Odhams at this time, which include Agatha Christie's Hounds of Death, Burroughs' Jungle Girl, and John Rhode's The Venner Crime. The dustwrapper has the original 7/6 first printing price to the spine, and is bright. It has wear and creasing to its extremities, and a small patch of loss to the top of the rear cover (see pictures). The book tself is in very nice condition, having been protected by the dustwrapper. Light bumping to fore edge. Ownership signature to front free endpaper neatly excised (see pictures). Clean and bright. Binding sound and square. A very nice copy of the scarce first edition. May Edginton (1883-1957) was a popular novelist of the Jazz Age, now unjustly neglected. Five of her works were adapted as silent films.”
