With case studies from across the developing world, this book shows why the global trading system is failing poor people. It explains how the WTO's decision-making process is biased against the poor, and why governments must act now to regulate the huge power of multinational companies. It urges world decision-making bodies not to force developing countries into an economic straitjacket which stops them choosing their own paths to development.
