About this product

Product Information

Two powerful BBC-produced films by Peter Watkins about war and their consequences are collected here. Commissioned by the BBC in the mid-1960s to dramatize the effects of a nuclear attack on Great Britain, THE WAR GAME is a film of monumental devastation, which so shocked the heads of the agency that it was initially withheld from broadcast. CULLODEN is an intriguing restaging of the 1746 battle of Culloden--the last battle fought on British ground, in which "Bonnie Prince Charles" was defeated by the Royal Army of King George II--using amateur actors, and capturing how the bloody struggle might have looked to the nation if television had existed at the time.

The seller’s gratitude an appreciation really shows in the personal word’s being sent in a message. I knows the price was kinda hefty a bit but I was willing 2 pay it considering what I’ve already spent on this very specific DVD version alone. Also, I always gotta mention that they’s placed a “FRAGILE” sticker label on my package which is greatly appreciated every time’s I see’s it! I just feel’s that’s a sign of sincerity, concern and care 4 another one’s item’s shipped. Super kool seller... =)

Phenomenal customer service! I had a shipping issue (not the fault of the seller!) and they want above and beyond to help me. They were able to secure another of the same product and maintained clear communication and excellent customer service the entire time. The DVD is in excellent quality and condition. Exactly as described. I'm so grateful for sellers that offer great products and service. This is what every business should strive to do. I highly recommend this seller!

Arrived in perfect condition and is exactly what they said it is. The quality is exactly what is to be expected for video from that time and I have no complaints. It was expensive, but worth it to relive this happy part of my childhood. Packaging was undamaged and the boxed set pristine. I love the appearance of the box itself - it looks great on my shelf of other video treasures. ...and the personalized note they sent was above and beyond. 10/10 - would definitely buy again! Thanks, Rist Magik!
