Unfortunately although packaging branded item as 4" 102mm hose and measuring manually seemed to confirm this, the item failed to fit securely and did not seal (clearly warm moist air could escaped) to the standard outlet of a Hotpoint TL51 tumble drier, whereas a similarly branded item purchased from my local store for same price did fit perfectly. A lesson learnt. I did contact the seller and they responded promptly. Asking me to manually measure the diameter of the hose.
