Rhythm piano is meant to be played in accompaniment to vocals, and requires less tedium and time during the learning process, and Dan Huckabee has designed a fun, truly accessible course that teaches students to learn songs by ear. He aims to circumvent the obstacles often encountered while learning to play, namely, getting so bogged down in theory that students never put their hands to the keyboard! Rhythm piano lays a solid foundation for players to take their musicianship in whatever direction they may desire, and this course effectively dispels the common occurrence of discouraging beginner students. Dan covers left and right hand techniques, rhythmic stylizations, the Nashville Numbering system theory, and finger exercises.
