The R8 collet does not fit. It has the wrong threading, and generally seems to be a weird size. I don't know if there are more than one type of R8 collet, but I thought that R8 was a standard size? The quick change heads do not have a solid index for Z movement. They have a ground surface, but that is not what hits the collet, instead it rides into a roughly machined groove. Not good, I need to touch off Z with every tool change so I might as well just use regular collets.
