This item is a reproduction and not an official event distribution cartridge. You can tel it’s fake because the Pokémon logo is too thick and dark colored, the pins on the motherboard are too new, the Nintendo seal is darker than the official. This seller is marking his listings as authentic when he put the software himself on there. I can further identify how the cartridge is fake if you ask me.

The cartridge is absolutely authentic. The buyer is abusing review system in hope for dry refund. Message exchange is available and has been submitted to eBay. For fellow collectors, here are ways to verify authenticity:1. Rectangular casting traces on top center of the cartridge.2. Nintendo logo on PCB *inside* plastic cover.3. Marking on 4,7,9,12,13,14,16,17th pin.4. Professional authenticator - WATA/VGA/CGC.Our products are OEM and we are happy to share more ways of authentication.
