this is a nice really big pipe. i like it, i'm keeping it, but i do feel that the description & the photos are lacking in clarity. there are 3-4 thin cracks across the plateau & a "cut" across the bottom of the bowl. i'm guessing here, but as a large pipe fancier, i'd say it might have been done with a file to keep it from falling off it's rest or stand. so maybe a little less $$$ for it, but i'm a sucker for a big pipe. and yes i might buy here again.
