    Whether the seller knew or not, the item is fake. Not only was it fake, it was also missing an integral part in the linkage so could never work anyway. On a positive note, the return was accepted quickly and the refund was made promptly.

    I ordered the eeSilk+ seatpost 27.2mm. It was a fake. I verified it as a counterfeit by contacting Cane Creek directly and sending photographs of the seatpost and a description of what I received. I have initiated a return through eBay and will be expecting a refund in due course. There was no branded packaging or instruction leaflet, no Cane Creek logo anywhere to be seen, the measurement markers up the back of the post were absent, as was the torque measurement marker for tightening. Fake!
