This item was shipped in a cheap plastic mailer with no protection. The box / package of the product was damaged. It should have been shipped in a box. Totally ridiculous and disrespectful. Anyone selling Nintendo products should know that the packaging being damaged is going to be an issue for the buyer. If the product packaging is getting damaged during shipping, then you need to reassess your shipping practices. A cardboard box and some crumpled paper is very inexpensive.
