Good
A book that has been read, but is in good condition. Minimal damage to the book cover eg. scuff marks, but no holes or tears. If this is a hard cover, the dust jacket may be missing. Binding has minimal wear. The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. No highlighting of text, no writing in the margins, and no missing pages. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections.

- r***e (1272)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseI won a copy of this book in 1954 my last year at junior school. Written by a personal hero, Patrick Moore. I had to smile at one point when he wrote "The next Transit of Venus will be in 2004 when all the readers of this book will have long white beards". I didn't have a long white beard being 62 years old then. I took a piece of dark glass to work and let anyone interested see this little black spot (Venus) pass in front of the Sun. The next time this will happen will be 2117!
