Seller notes: “A stunning Victorian Art Nouveau 9ct Gold Peridot & Seed Pearl set Pendant dating to c1895 (please ... “A stunning Victorian Art Nouveau 9ct Gold Peridot & Seed Pearl set Pendant dating to c1895 (please study the detailed close-up photographs, which form an integral part of the item's description).This wonderful antique Pendant is set cenrally with an oval faceted Peridot, which is set in a millegrain setting surrounded by Seed Pearls in ornate foliate settings within an Art Nouveau inspired stylized 'heart shaped' openwork design. The Pendant terminates with an oval Drop set with another Peridot similarly set.Typical of the period this gorgeous antique Pendant is stamped '9ct' on the reverse, confirming that it is made from solid 9ct Gold. Overall it is in great condition, as can be seen from the photographs; and it only requires the addition of a chain to make it ready to wear. Originally it would have had a pin fitted to enable it to be worn as a brooch but these were often removed as they tended to snag on clothes when worn as a Pendant.”
