Arrived in as-new, fine condition, thank you! The bicycle industry (Shimano) has once again shifted into newer technologies, has discontinued production of some of my favorite older technologies, with other manufacturers following that same trend, and the 12-34T cassettes I got are now considered old-fashioned. The new 11-34T cassettes can work nicely with 1x gear trains but 12-34T cassettes produce a better range of gearing when used in 2x and especially 3x gear trains such as I like.

Arrived in fine condition and I am glad to have them, thank you! On 700 x 35c wheels, an 8-speed 12/34T cassette powered by a 46-34-24T triple crankset produces a low gear of ~19 gear inches, a high gear of ~105 gear inches and a wide but nice selection of gear ratios in between, great for commuter and touring bikes. But that setup has become Old School because the bicycle industry, Shimano in particular, has largely discontinued 3x gear trains and is now focused on 1x and 2x gear trains.
