Seller notes: “Signed on the colophon by the illustrator Felix Hoffmann who created the fifteen black & white in ... “Signed on the colophon by the illustrator Felix Hoffmann who created the fifteen black & white in text woodcut engravings and the color frontis woodcut, #489/1500. The slipcase is of red paper and the leading edge is of the same French marbled paper used on the boards, gold stamping on the spine, there is some sunning on the edges, wear on the bottom face. The boards are covered with the French paper and red morocco leather and wonderful nouveau gold stamping and there is some sunning on the spine. Imported Japanese folded paper, a truly wonderful presentation for this extraordinary piece of literature. Nice bookplate on the front endpaper. Includes the Monthly Letter.”
