Take out of Plastic Immediately! Blanket arrived smelling of mold. cutely packaged and in plastic, I believe the blanket was package damp. there was a slight dusting of mildew inside the plastic. I immediately unwrapped the blanket that was nicely folded and rolled, and hung it up outside in the sun to dry. After about 10 hours, the smell dissipated and the blanket is now on the back of my couch looking very pretty.
