This is great value given how expensive buying direct from Asus is. For others who are doing DIY upgrade to their Asus laptops (I put backlit keyboard in my laptop which didn't have a backlight originally), download GHelper. Even if your BIOS, Windows and Asus all don't recognise the backlight, GHelper will and you can use Shift+Volume up/down to control brightness.
