Romanul "Tatal meu este soarele si mama mea este luna" este o fresca de epoca ce surprinde povestea unor ilustre familii nobiliare toscane din veacul al XVI-lea, cu povestile de dragoste ale eroilor principali, dar si cu povesti de viata ce poarta amprenta vremii si mai ales a marii familii de Medici. Cautarile eroilor romanului sunt impletite cu povestile lor de dragoste, cu idealul unei familii mari si trainice, cu nazuinte politice dar si de ordin personal, care fac din acest roman unul dinamic, pitoresc, o poveste de fictiune cu final fericit, al carei mare castigator este mereu un personaj aparte, timpul.
