OMG these inserts are letting me turn steel like aluminum, well maybe not really, but like I have never turned steel before. facing some 12L14 and taking .025 passes and the lathe didn't seem to know it. then I turned some propeller shaft stainless steel and at least for a while, it even jumped the keyway and left decent finish till the tip chipped. I'm now looking for other holders including a boring bar so I can turn some parts in steel that I had previously had to turn from aluminum
