The decorative stitch lever sticks and doesnot move unless the whole mechanism is exposed. The door exposing the needle bar, the actual sewing mechanism does not shut. The light switch toggle is broken and the light can only be turned off by unplugging the machine. It does work, sort of.

I am sorry you are not completely satisfied with the machine. I mentioned the broken light switch in the listing. The decorative stitch lever should work smoothly if the needle is in the highest position and the lever is pushed all the way to the right in its slot. Please let me know if that helps. Thank you !
