This double bill features the movie spin-offs from the hugely popular television series revolving around a father and son team in the rag-and-bone trade. In STEPTOE & SON, Albert goes to great lengths to get rid of son Harold's new bride, a stripper called Zita. But when Zita falls pregnant, Harold is going to have to choose between the two of them. In the following year's STEPTOE & SON RIDE AGAIN, Harold buys a greyhound from a local criminal. The dog loses its first race and Harold-- with his debts mounting--hits upon a cunning plan to claim his father's life insurance. He just needs to convince the company that Albert is dead!
