Belt snapped within 1 hour of installation and proved to be totally ineffective. Response from seller was unhelpful.

When a belt fails shortly after installation there is usually a cause. We always ask for information such as when the deck was last serviced as the pulleys and bearings are the primary cause of belt failure on lawn mower applications. We also ask for supporting information so that we can try to ascertain what the problem was. We often discourage just installing a new belt straight after as we are wary of the same thing happening again and recommend that the machine is serviced by a professional.
