It's supposed to clear codes or be by directional on my Touareg TDI 2012 and it doesn't see simple things as the radio module. It should also work out of VW. Example, on a 2010 Toyota Sequoia, it can't see the air bag module. I do not recommend this item. Too expensive for what it does.
