    Picking up precisely where its bloody precursor left off, HATCHET 2 finds Marybeth (Harris) in a boat, struggling to escape from Crowley's crushing grip after seeing all of her friends get brutally slaughtered in a Louisiana swamp. Miraculously, she manages to fight her way free and find her way back to New Orleans, where she seeks out the ominous Reverend Zombie (Tony Todd), the voodoo-shop proprietor who organized her doomed tour of the marshland. Later, after assembling a small squad of rugged hunters, Reverend Zombie accompanies Marybeth back into the bog on a mission to track down Crowley, and finally close the book on his brutal legend. But the further the group ventures into the slough, the more apparent it becomes that Reverend Zombie may have a hidden agenda.
