I have another one just like it that failed and one of the fairly lightweight things I can do to try to recover my data is to see if switching the old drive into the new one will get it to boot. I don't expect this to necessarily work but it is worth a try before I face the expensive and arduous task of having the data vacuumed by a much more expensive recovery process. 🤞

Nothing could rattle inside the case, which was well protected within a larger box. The items were as described: everything was there, including a small wooden brace and nails needed to reattach it to the case. The machine is clean and works - I only have to adjust the stitch length regulator. Getting exactly the machine I wanted, with all the parts AND the instruction book, was a great value.
