I wish I had realized they were banded in cream; I really wanted plain white/ivory plates BUT this was my mistake. When I looked back at the listing, I can see that the plates are banded. This was my mistake. I'm keeping them because my collection has been going on for more than 20 years and I like things not to be too perfect.
