About this product
Product Information
Fans of the Inuyasha television series can continue the saga on PlayStation 2 in Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask. This role-playing game lets players experience the Japanese feudal era. They can build relationships by relating to beloved characters from the TV show. They can also play as special characters created by the developer Bandai specifically for the video games.Inuyasha is a manga and anime series that centers on a fairy tale set in medieval Japan. A girl from modern Japan, Kaname Kururugi, gets transported back to the Sengoku period. There, she fights demons and makes new friends. She also has to go on a quest to find pieces of a jewel that are scattered around the country. This PlayStation video game follows a similar storyline to the TV show. It begins with you playing as either a teenage boy, Michiru Kururugi; or a teenage girl, Kaname Kururugi. Their family runs a shrine, and the character finds a strange symbol that takes you to a feudal Japanese village. The villagers believe you are a demon and attack, so you have to run. Then, you encounter a real demon and defeat it using Shikigami abilities. It is at this point that a character from the TV show joins the PS2 game. Inuyasha, a half human and half dog-demon, sees your player fight and takes you to Kagome Higurashi. While enjoying Secret of the Cursed Mask, you will meet the entire cast of the TV show. This includes Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Sesshomaru. Sango and the other characters work together to fight Naraku, the main demon opponent from the TV show. Other demons will attack your party while you play. Some of these also have ties to the TV shows, and some are original. The Inuyasha: Secret of the Cursed Mask game also has some unique features. For one thing, it includes around 30 minutes of anime videos. This game also introduces Utsugi, an ally of Naraku that the team members have to battle. There are also different storyline possibilities. Choosing Michiru Kururugi as your player character will open different story choices than choosing Kaname Kururugi, and vice versa. While traveling with Inuyasha, Kagome, and the other team members, you can choose to enter into a relationship with one of them. You will also attack different enemies, including Naraku, using unique abilities. With the different storylines, you'll enjoy several possibilities for paths. Many fans will want to play every storyline. The Secret of the Cursed Mask begins in a quiet village, but it leads to intense combat situations. Because of this content, this Inuyasha PlayStation 2 game is rated T for Teen, which means it is recommended for children 13 and older. This video game will allow you to enjoy gameplay with your friends. You can take turns playing this action genre game.Journey through the world of Inuyasha, and enjoy the extra videos provided by Bandai. Save the village, and fight alongside fan favorites like Sango and Miroku.
