About this product
Product Information
Match cute little drops by color to remove them from the game board as more fall from above at an invigorating pace. Don't be too quick to dismiss this as simple Tetris clone, as Puyo Pop adds personality and flair to the falling-block-action puzzle style with its distinct characters and engaging features. Previously appearing in home computer shareware and a popular release for the NeoGeo Pocket Color handheld, Sega's Sonic Team brings SNK's Puyo Pop to Nintendo's Game Boy Advance with this synergistic THQ release.

The cute Puyo globs fall from the top of the screen in pairs which the player can manipulate on the way down. Linking four Puyos of the same color, horizontally or vertically, removes them from the bottom of the screen and allows any remaining Puyos to drop and fill the vacated space, leading to possible "Chain Combos" if additional color matches result. Different characters may move through the screen, changing Puyo colors to harmful or beneficial effect. In multiplayer games (up to four players on one Game Pak), one player's success can increase the speed and difficultly for his or her opponents.
