About this product

    Product Information

In this PlayStation 2 port, Scooby-Doo finds himself on a mission to rescue his friends from the clutches of the Mastermind. The trembling canine must overcome his fears and muster the courage to explore the haunted Mystic Manor, the area where the gang was last seen. As Scooby searches for clues to his friends' whereabouts, he'll need to watch out for one of 20 monsters resurrected from past cases, including multiple instances of the Black Knight, the Zombie, the Creeper, and more.

The game is divided into 12 areas set in and around the Mystic Manor. Players will slink through a graveyard, jump from sinking ships along the pier, explore secret underground passages, and more as they move one step closer to unmasking the villain responsible for all this trouble. To make things easier, Scooby can gulp down Scooby Snacks to open locked gates, find helpful power-ups, and collect special Monster Tokens to unlock bio information on each of the 20 featured enemies.

The game is viewed from a third-person perspective as players guide Scooby from point A to point B to find an exit leading to the next level. An overhead map screen lets players chart their course, as some areas offer multiple paths leading to new levels. Scooby will also need to find specific equipment to advance through certain areas, including galoshes, a football helmet, suction cups, and an umbrella. Galoshes allow Scooby to walk across sticky floors, the helmet lets him smash through barriers, the umbrella can be used to float across areas, and suction cups neutralize slippery surfaces.

Other items of interest include Black Knight armor, bunny slippers, and a lampshade to sneak around and trick nearby enemies; a shovel to dig for buried items like keys; soap to blow enemy-catching bubbles; bubble gum for trapping enemies in their place; and double jump springs to reach higher places. In-game voices were recorded from actors who have previously worked on the animated series, including Frank Welker as Fred, Scott Innes in the dual roles of Scooby-Doo and Shaggy, B.J. Ward as Velma, and Tim Curry, Tim Conway, and Don Knotts in supporting roles.

My N64 system was packaged very well and arrived on time. Everything did not work at first, so I reached out to the seller of the system. They assured me it worked and it may be the games I had bought from a local seller and they were right. They guided me through how to clean them even (still not working though). But I got a new game from a local game store and it works just fine! Very responsive and would 100% buy from them again!

Had an issue where not all discs were in the case when received. I contacted the seller who responded in a timely manner. Not only did they share my concern (unlike some sellers who would dismiss you), but they checked around and, finding the missing disc, got back to me quite quickly with an apology and striving to make it right. I will DEFINITELY be purchasing from them again in the future.
