The "mother of pearl" is a substance covered in a clear resinous/plastic material. This is not mentioned in the description. When approached the vendor became very evasive snd defensive. Not good. I would suggest that any potential purchaser from this vendor think twice. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ITEM OR THIS VENDOR.

He emailed saying it was plastic and this was my reply: This is genuine mother of pearl shell inlay. The colours from the shell are natural which is why each cabochon shines different colours and unique patterns. I believe the extensive photos on my listing that I took myself show a fair representation of the item (I try my best to show items as they actually are) but please note I accept returns for any reason.
