Even when cable and DSL connections are not available, this wireless router has a built-in 3G, 4G and WiMax technology feature, allowing the user to instantly create a Wi-Fi hotspot, wherever they may be. A usage meter included with this NetGear router keeps track of the Internet traffic in order to avoid unexpected broadband usage charges. 3G reception, or stronger, is possible with the NetGear MBRN3000, when using the USB docking station wherever a strong signal is found. This NetGear router offers superb security with denial of service (DoS) protection, stateful packet inspection (SPI) and virtual private network (VPN) pass-through, in order to safe guard all data and information shared through the Internet. Compatibility with 3G+ USB modems and major DSL Internet service providers is assured with this wireless router. The NetGear MBRN3000 allows only Internet connections that are reliable using the Quality of Service (QoS) security feature.
