Washburn Guitars has been manufacturing classical and acoustic guitars since 1883. Although the company makes popular classical and acoustic guitar models, it also makes acoustic bass guitars, electric bass guitars, electric guitars, acoustic/electric guitars, ukeleles, mandolins, banjos, and guitar amps. Washburn players include Paul Stanley of Kiss, Richie Owens, and Bootsy Collins. The Washburn Classical Series features both standard classical guitars and acoustic/electric classical guitars. Popular models include the C40 and C64SCE. The Washburn Classical Series C64SCE is an acoustic/electric guitar, which means that it features the body and neck style of a classical guitar paired with electric components. Its body features a cutaway design, which gives you great access to the frets higher up on the neck. The top consists of solid spruce wood, and the sides and back are mahogany. The rosewood fingerboard features 19 frets. The wide nut leaves lots of space between each string, which comes in handy for classical fingerpicking techniques. This Washburn classical guitar includes B-Band A3T electronics. This component picks up sound as it resonates through the sound hole and feeds it through a cable into an amplifier.
