got the belt in sad part the motor is bad ..got it apart brushes are ok but the inductors are toast ..so it had two problems will rebuild the motor ,,inductors are 10 uh ,,teac needs to make better motors ,,me that worked at delco we made the best ,,,but thats long gone

Please send me a message - there may be other issues if the inductors have failed and worth checking for those before replacing those. Note to all - don't power up a TEAC X series deck or a Tascam with a belt drive DC motor until you've checked the belt hasn't failed sticky. Message before or after purchase for guidance and honestly the issue is not the motors so much as a lack of current limiting in the motor drive circuit if there is no tach output.
