Tomaso Buzzi (Sondrio 1900 - Rapallo 1981) è stato una figura singolare nella storia dell'architettura italiana del Novecento, dotato di una personalità fuori dal comune. Dopo il 1945 divenne un maestro del gusto lavorando per le più note famiglie della nobiltà e dell'industria italiana, dai Volpi agli Agnelli, dai Cini ai Contini Bonacossi, interpretandone gli stili di vita e accompagnandone i riti mondani. Snob, dandy, massone, partigiano, bibliofilo, colto, ironico e tormentato custode del bon-ton, Buzzi iniziò la sua carriera laureandosi a Milano nel 1923, entrando poi in contatto col gruppo del "Novecento milanese", di cui facevano parte, fra gli altri, Giò Ponti e Emilio Lancia. Dal 1931, quando lavora per villa Vittoria di Contini Bonacossi inizia il suo rapporto con la committenza aristocratica che conserverà nell'arco di tutta la sua carriera. L'abbandono di tematiche moderne, a partire dalla metà degli anni Trenta, e la sua apertura verso una committenza d'elite ...
