    I am amazed at the quality of these tabi boots. Prior to this I had a pair that I imported from Japan in 2006. They were ok, but got torn up while wearing in the forest. These are the exact opposite, they came in brand new condition and have sturdy soles for wearing outdoors. They are a combo of rubber and plastic coated metal "cleats". Wearing indoors may present problems on tile and such flooring as it may damage the floor. But when it comes to climbing trees in the forest they are perfect.
