The NETGEAR Nighthawk CM1100 works really well paired with the NETGEAR Nighthawk x6 R8000 as I had found the combo works well online. When I use a wired connection to the modem it even gives 10mbps over the current download speeds plan I have with Optimum (200mbps download and 10mbps upload). This gear can handle much higher speeds but it’s good future proofing and works well with regular speeds too! If I run a speed test for a split second it breaks the dial but returns back which is funny.
