Cards are mostly used but they can be reused. This does work but it does not carry a pretty tune. It is very raspy rough sounding. Not sure if this is fixable as far as sound goes or not. Due to the nature of the use of this item there is pencil dust and it could use some cleaning though I do not believe that would help the sound. Possibly a collector would know how to make it sing a pretty tune again!”
