Vergilbungen haben hauptsächlich Cover, die große helle Flächenanteile haben. Ein Extrembeispiel ist das sogenannte weiße Album der Beatles. Alben aus dem ersten Jahre sind eigentlich nicht mehr ohne Vergilbung zu bekommen.
