Could not get the helicoil started into new threads until I watched some videos. You need a 120deg chamfer on the hole before you tap or re-tap it after. Also adjust collar on the insertion tool down so it is supporting the back of the helicoil so you don't stretch it as you push/turn it into the hole. Then it was easy. Great deal and fast delivery. Want to buy a whole set of these metric repair kits now!

It's definitely lighter than mahogany or swamp ash, but the price reflects this difference in density. My blank is ready for final sanding. I'll probably seal it with Danish oil and wet/dry sandpaper before giving it a tobacco burst finish.
