    Tecmo's innovative trap-setting strategy series returns to once again let players get a little evil in Deception IV: Blood Ties. Gamers take on the role of Laegrinna, said to have been created by a fragment of the Devil's soul, as she and her three demons attempt to lure human victims into her castle to torture, humiliate, and slaughter them and collect their souls. Laegrinna has no physical means to attack, so players must strategically place pitfalls around a variety of stage grids, each with unique features and terrain, and then activate their traps at the proper time.<br><br>The three demons specialize in different traps, with Veruza focusing on the sadistic torment of spikes, saws, and axes, Caelea enamored with elaborate deaths and complicated machinery, and Lilia a fan of banana peels, falling bathtubs, and humiliating demise. Gamers strategically place their traps in each stage before taking control of Laegrinna and using her as bait to lure attackers. Weak intruders can be killed with a single trap, but stronger foes may have to suffer through several traps before their armor is broken and they can be captured or killed.
