This new edition contains a DVDwith 80 minutes of video featuring John Barton in conversation with Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart and Jane Lapotaire discussing changes in approaches to Shakespeare's text since the book first published. This edition also features a foreword by Michael Boyd. This is a highly readable approach to understanding Shakespeare's text and unlocking the hidden stage directions and actors clues that reside in his verse. As Barton explains, "when an actor becomes aware of them they will find Shakespeare himself starts to direct them."

    Item as listed, new and sealed in cardboard cd envelope, great price , only let down by dispatch time. on listing said 30 days but in the post details it also stated 3 day courier, when I contacted seller to clarify they said it would be 20 sept and they would dispatch it,2 weeks after ordering and changed the 3 day courier in the listing. It only had to travel 60 mile!. It finally arrived this morning with a Royal Mail 48 hour post label, so took a month to finally dispatch
