I have yet to install it, but it's basically a threaded brass plug with an o-ring and the threads and o-ring bed are cleanly cut. The thin metal gasket was between cardboard for protection during shipment. And both pieces were in separate bags in the the main shipping pouch.
It was shipped immediately and I received it faster than I expected.

This did not fit my 2005 987 Boxster. I managed to use the winding wheel off the old one and adapted the sprung part with a saw and some epoxy resin so it did the job but only because I'm a MacGyver.
