Seller notes: “Up for sale is a Sachs 2501/7A 250cc Cylinder Jug and Piston. This cylinder may fit more years and ... “Up for sale is a Sachs 2501/7A 250cc Cylinder Jug and Piston. This cylinder may fit more years and models than the bike it was removed from, but please be sure it is correct for your machine before buying. The cylinder is aluminum with a steel sleeve. There is minor oxidation on the fins, but all fins look great with no breaks, bends, cracks or repairs. The sleeve is very clean inside with no rust or corrosion and I can feel no scoring. The bores measure 71.5mm which is the standard bore and there are no signs of any porting that has been done. It is a stock, unmolested cylinder. I am including the piston, but it will need to be replaced along with the ring. The piston is pretty beat up along the top and the ring is stuck in place, but the pin and bearing may still be usable. The piston is stamped and measures 71.44mm. Please remember this is a used cylinder jug and may need to be bored or at least honed before using, this is probably not a bolt on and go part.”
