    At first I thought the backing wasn't sticky enough but upon further inspection it was. DEFINITELY look up online videos YouTube on ford explorer vinyl application before attempting. Had I not, I wouldn't have been successful with the install. There is a learning curve if you've never done it before. The piece is slightly larger lengthwise and I had a little hard time getting it to wrap around and not on the car back itself. You WILL need hairdryer / heat gun to properly get it done. Good Luck
