    Great tape deck - sadly it does not pass the "shake" test - tapes wow & flutter like an ocean liner in a force 14 gale - playback is nice- no bass or treble control - but if you use it with another amp or speakers via Bluetooth, you can adjust tone with that. The tape deck is very solid, made of metal rather than plastic - it's well packaged too - though I find the inclusion of a pencil offensive & reinforces the cliches that tapes in cassette players always chewed up.

    Shaking any tape player is not advisable. The pencil is included as some users like to take up any slack in the tape cassette before inserting into their machine.
