This item is in the exact condition disclosed in the pictures and description. It is a PMD430, a stereo 3head portable tape deck. This deck has a 2 Speed “Long Play” mod done by one of a few companies, this trades out for Mic attenuation.
The main drive belt turned to goo, and the LED backlights for the VUs don’t turn on, but it reacts to mic input.
Most people would have simply thrown away a lesser deck, but this is a good name and a unit with some life left in it.
