Condition seriously overstated in written assessment, which also is incorrect in stating that the scratches are confined to the top right hand corner. The faults, especially the tear and hole, are not adequately brought out by the images. All the images show the painting paler than it really is, and one wonders whether that effect was achieved deliberately, by means of over-bright lighting or retrospective editing. An expensive restoration job is needed: that was certainly not obvious.

I'm sorry that you are disappointed in the condition of the painting, I take all photos in natural light, do not use any flash or editing and try to show all the damage and defects that exist. I am always open to dialogue and can always provide additional information upon request
