The pen itself is as described, but when uncapped, has an (undisclosed) mild musty smell reminiscent of 2-4-6-tricholoroanisole, possibly the result of having been cleaned but not dried adequately at some point in the past. Luckily, this pen can easily be disassembled and cleaned again, which should solve the problem. A little annoying to have to do this, but I'm satisfied overall.
