It was quite unexpected as all other salves from others with this combination have been smooth. I can't even tell if this will work because it's so uncomfortable to apply. The seller told me it "rubs in" and they added EXTRA beeswax and that's why it's gritty. Beware of this salve and seller, product comes with an attitude & grit. Waste of money.
